Shikhar Dhawan became a subject of social media trolls after he got run out in the most unusual and bizarre way possible during the 2nd T20I against England at Sofia Garden, Cadiff.

Shikhar Dhawan became a subject of social media trolls after he got run out in the most unusual and bizarre way possible during the 2nd T20I against England at Sofia Garden, Cardiff.

The incident occurred in the fifth over of the Indian innings. Lian Plunkett hit Dhawan hard on the left elbow by banging the ball hard in the middle of the pitch. Already uncomfortable because of the impact, Dhawan surprisingly, responded to Rahul’s call for a single and tried to change the bat from left to right. That turned out to be a horrific decision as he dropped the bat inches before reaching the crease when England Morgan whipped the bails off.

Interestingly, Dhawan would have made his ground had he managed to hold the bat in his hand. But as luck goes, his decision to change hands in the middle of the run brought about his downfall.

Dhawan took the long walk back, scoring 10 runs off 12 balls. His horrific day however, had just started. Snippets of Dhawan’s run out went viral moments after his run out.
