Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli led India's T20 World Cup 2024-winning celebrations upon their return from Barbados In Mumbai.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are two stalwarts of Indian cricket. The two may have announced their retirement from T20Is but are set to be remembered for their contribution to Indian cricket for a long time. Some of their achievements have made them almost immortal and as long as the sport will live, they will be remembered for what they have managed to achieve wearing the Indian Blues on the cricket field.
Even though it doesn't often end on a bright note for even some of the biggest names of the sport, it was indeed a fairytale ending as possible for both Rohit and Virat who two hung up their boots after the Men in Blue beat South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final by 7 runs to clinch their first world title in 11 years. During the victory parade post their return to India, the two lifted the trophy together amid loud cheers from fans in a packed Marine Drive where nearly 3,00,000 people assembled to give the Men in Blue a grand welcome.

T20 World Cup Trophy For Entire Nation: Rohit Sharma
India's title-winning captain dedicated the trophy to the entire nation after he was called upon the stage at the Wankhede Stadium in a small felicitation ceremony.
"This trophy is for the entire nation. Along with all the players who have represented the country, we want to dedicate it to our fans, who have waited for 11 years," Rohit said.
