Rinku Singh Appointed BSA: Reporting Chain, Salary, And Team Role Explained

Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has received a major honor from the Uttar Pradesh government. He has been appointed as a Basic Education Officer (BSA) under the sports quota, marking a new chapter in his public service journey.

In this role, Rinku will oversee the functioning of primary education in a district.

What will Rinku Singh’s role be?

The Basic Education Directorate in Uttar Pradesh was established in 1985 to improve and regulate primary education. As a BSA, Rinku Singh will be responsible for managing government-run schools up to Class 5 in his district. He will report to the Assistant Director of Education (Basic) at the divisional level.

Who will be on his team?

At the district level, Rinku will supervise a team of Block Education Officers (BEOs). Together, they will oversee school inspections, teacher performance, and implementation of educational policies. His extended team will include school principals, teachers, Shiksha Mitras, village heads, and School Management Committees.

Eligibility and Education Requirement

Rinku has been selected under the International Medal Winner Direct Recruitment Rules, 2022. Since he has completed education up to Class 9, he has been given 7 years to fulfill the required academic qualifications for the post, including graduation.

Salary and Perks

As a Group A gazetted officer, Rinku Singh will draw a monthly salary of ₹70,000 to ₹90,000, along with additional benefits like HRA, government accommodation, and medical facilities.

Rinku Singh, the rising star of Indian cricket, has reportedly postponed his wedding plans.

According to media reports, Rinku had considered tying the knot this year, but with his growing responsibilities in domestic and international cricket, he has decided to delay the ceremony.

The left-handed batter, known for his powerful performances in the IPL and for India, wants to give his undivided attention to the game at this stage of his career. Family members have supported his decision, emphasizing that cricket remains his top priority for now.
