Ranji Trophy 2018-19: Shreyas Iyer to lead Mumbai against Railways
Other regulars Akhil Herwadkar, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare have been made it to the Squad
After successfully exhibiting his leadership skills in two consecutive domestic tournaments, Shreyas Iyer has bagged all-new responsibility in the upcoming season of the Ranji Trophy. The 23-year-old has been named as the skipper of the Mumbai Ranji team that will take on Railways in New Delhi from November 1.
On the other hand, speedster Dhawal Kulkarni has been named as Iyer’s deputy in the 15 member squad announced by MCA on Thursday.
Young Prithvi Shaw wasn't considered for selection, as he was still recovering from an elbow injury which he sustained during a Deodhar Trophy match. However, if he passes the fitness test before the game, he could be in.
Other regulars Akhil Herwadkar, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare have been made it to the Squad.
