Pakistan's Usama Mir Slams 34 Runs In One Over, Video Goes Viral
Predominantly known for his leg-spin bowling, Usama Mir was in great form with the bat in this match.
Even as there are many who argue that the balance of cricket is increasingly getting tilted in favour of the batters, scoring five sixes in an over is no mean feat. And upcoming Pakistan player Usama Mir has done just that in a Ghani Ramzan Tourney 2023 encounter. The 27-year-old who has played 3 ODIs for the Men in Green and is predominantly known for his leg-spin bowling, smashed as many as 34 runs in an over with the help of five maximums and a boundary.
The right-handed batter was in sensational form and contributed with a 66-run knock off 20 deliveries overall. His innings came in the face off between the GIC and Karachi Warriors in the annual competition of Pakistan's domestic cricket schedule. While the batter scored four sixes in an over and ignited hopes of smashing 6 in an over, he missed out narrowly on that achievement when he sent the fifth ball for a four before a six in the final ball of the over. Spinner Imran B was the receiving end of this stroke-making masterclass.

Even though GIC managed to post a whopping 236 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs against Karachi Warriors, riding on Mir's sensational innings apart from Shahbaz Javed's 75 off 40 and Shawaiz Irfan's 37 off 24 and Hussain Talat's 28 from 19 balls, they were forced to share points as the match as the match had to be forfeited and Karachi Innings did not commence.
Karachi had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl first at the Ghani Stadium in Lahore.
