Bangladesh beats Pakistan for the first time in a Test series
Bangladesh scripted history by winning both Tests in the two-Test series against Pakistan, ending a 22-year drought and capturing their first-ever Test series against Pakistan.
Since their first bilateral Test series in 2002, six series have been played between the two teams, with Pakistan winning every time. However, in the current series, Bangladesh achieved a historic Test series victory, winning the first Test by 10 wickets and the second Test by 6 wickets.
Following Test series win over Pakistan, Bangladesh moves to the 6th spot in WTC standings. On the other hand, the loss has severely affected Pakistan's position, leaving them stagnant at 8th place (second last) with 16 points from seven matches.
