IND vs AUS, ODI Series: Complete Schedule, Venue, Match Timings
The 3-match ODI series will commence with the series opener to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.
India will lock horns with Australia in a 3-match ODI series to kick start their campaign in the limited overs arena in 2020. After a highly successful year in white ball cricket in 2019, India would continue to exert its dominance in the 50-over format which sees them placed at the second spot in the ICC ODI team ranking.
There could not be a better start for Indian team than locking horns with a formidable opponent in Australia which could test the 'Men in Blue' in all departments of the game. The Australians had the better of the 'Men in Blue' in the last ODI engagement between the two giants in 2019. However, it was Kohli and Co. which pulled off an impressive 36-run win in the group encounter between two teams at the 2019 ICC World Cup in the United Kingdom last year.
Kohli and Co would be well aware of the fact that they are up against an opponent of their pedigree. While India are coming into the series on the back of winning back to back T2OI series against Bangladesh and Windies at home, Australia blanked trans-tasman rivals New Zealand in their last test series encounter.
Out of the 137 one day internationals played between India and Australia, the 'Kangaroos' have the upper hand winning 77 out of those games.
The 3-match ODI series will commence with the series opener to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.
