US Open 2023: Former India captain MS Dhoni likes to keep his personal life private. He is not that active on social media and ever since his retirement from international cricket, fans either spot him on the streets of Ranchi driving in one of his many vintage vehicles in his enviable collection or at public events. And now the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Dhoni was spotted at the US Open. The 42-year-old was watching the quarter-final clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev and the picture of Dhoni enjoying the game of tennis has gone viral on social media.

Dhoni's last cricketing assignment was the IPL 2023 where he led CSK to a record-equalling fifth title. While there were speculation on whether IPL 2023 would be his final year in the cash-rich league, after CSK beat Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the final, he said that he would be coming back next year as a way of expressing his gratitude to his fans.
"If you see circumstantially this is the best time for me to announce retirement," Dhoni had said in the post-match presentation of the IPL 2023 final.
"But the amount of love and affection I've been shown wherever I've been this year, the easy thing for me would be to say, 'Thank you very much'. But the tough thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL. But a lot depends on the body, I have six-seven months to decide and it will be more like a gift from my side [to the fans]. It's not easy for me but the way they've shown their love and affection, that's something I need to do for them," he had added.
