MLC 2024 Updated Points Table & Most Runs, Wickets List: San Francisco Unicorns (SFU) defeated MI New York (MINY) in the 16th match of the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) on July 19 (as per the Indian standard Time) at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. With their third win of the season in five matches, San Francisco became the second team to qualify for the MLC 2024 playoffs after Washington Freedom. New York on the other hand, find themselves in the second last position in the MLC 2024 points table and their hopes of qualifying look rather weak.
Coming to the MINY vs SFU match, San Francisco captain Corey Anderson won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first, SFU faced early troubles and lost wickets in clumps as they found themselves five wickets down for just 33 runs. However, a partnership between Hassan Khan and Corey Anderson got SFU’s innings back on track as the Unicorns finished at 148 runs in 20 overs.

Chasing 149 runs, MINY’s Dewald Brevis got the team off to a good start despite an early wicket. MINY were well on their course to a comfortable victory as they were 79-2 in 10 overs. However, some disciplined bowling from SFU caused MINY to lose back-to-back wickets and they ultimately finished on 145-7 in 20 overs, losing the game by three runs.
