'England Will Not Win The Series If...': Michael Vaughan Makes Huge Prediction About IND vs ENG Series Scoreline

IND vs ENG: Ex-England captain Michael Vaughan made a huge prediction about the scoreline of the series ahead of the third Test in Rajkot.

The five-match Test series against England stands at an interesting crossroads with the first two Test matches done and dusted. While England handed a defeat in the series opener in Hyderabad, India came back from behind to equalise the series in Visakhapatnam. And now the two teams have a bit of a breather before the third Test match of the series which commences on February 15 in Rajkot.

While there were many who believed that England were in with a real chance of winning the series especially after the manner in which they beat the visitors in the first Test, ex-England captain Michael Vaughan has given a massive statement with regards to the eventual scoreline of the series. He reckons that there is no way Ben Stokes & Co. are going to win the series if they don't change the way they played in one particular department of the second Test.

"England will not win the series if they bat the way they did in Visakhapatnam," Vaughan wrote in his column for 'The Telegraph.’

"I actually think the batsmen need to take a leaf out of the bowlers’ book. With ball in hand, they have been quite traditional at times, aggressive at others, and they have gone up and down the gears in terms of how attacking their fields have been," he said.

England Let India Come Back Into The Series: Vaughan

The 49-year-old reckoned that the Three Lions need to have a fine balance of playing the BazBall brand as well as the orthodox way of playing cricket if they want to succeed on Indian conditions. He believes England let India come back into the series in Vizag.

"England have become a difficult team to criticise too much because they are so good to watch. Every game they play has us all absolutely gripped, and they have improved massively under Ben Stokes," he stated.

"However, I do worry that they might become a team who do all this great work only to not actually win very much. They didn’t win the Ashes when they should have done and now they have let India back into a series when they still have a load of big names, including Virat Kohli, to come back."
