WATCH: Renshaw Brings Up Fifty With A Seven, Courtesy Of Babar Azam's Overthrow In Warm-Up Game

The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 78th over of Prime Minister XI's warm-up match against Pakistan.

In a rare instance on a cricket field, Matt Renshaw, while playing for Prime Minister's XI in the warm-up match against a touring Pakistan side, got 7 runs against his name of a single ball. The incident happened on Day 3 of the four-day fixture at the Manuka Oval, Canberra as former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and the visiting side conceded four runs. Seven runs off a single delivery also allowed Renshaw to get to a fine half-century.

This happened on the fifth ball of the 78th over which was being bowled by spinner Abrar Ahmed. The ball was driven by the batter to deep extra cover and was being chased by Mir Hamza who had managed to stop the ball within the field of play. However, the batters had completed three runs by the time Hamza three the ball to Babar Azam who was at the non-striker's end. Babar, however, three the ball to the keeper's end which missed both the stumps and the stumper and went for a boundary as the batting team and Renshaw were awarded seven runs.

Prime Ministers XI Trail By 24 Runs In Warm-Up Game

Talking about the match, Pakistan scored 391/9 in the first innings of this warm-up game. In response, Prime Minister's XI are 367/4 at Stumps on Day 3. Renshaw has gone on to complete a hundred and will resume his innings on 136 when the two teams start Day 4's proceedings. Other than Renshaw, Cameron Bancroft (53), Marcus Harris (49), Cameron Green (46) and captain Nathan McSweeney (40) chipped in with useful contributions. Beau Webster also remains not out overnight and will resume on 21 off 86 on December 9 (Saturday). 

Khurram Shahzad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf and Imam-ul-Haq have picked a wicket each for Pakistan so far in what has been hard work for them in this innings.
