Manmohan Singh Last Rites: Former PM's Mortal Remains Moved to Nigambodh Ghat Amid Tight Security
The mortal remains of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh were moved to Nigambodh Ghat for his final rites, which will be held on Saturday at 11:45 AM with full state and military honors. Singh, who passed away at the age of 92 on Thursday night at AIIMS, will be cremated with due respect as per government instructions. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also requested the Ministry of Defence to ensure military honors during the ceremony. Earlier, Singh’s body was placed at the Congress office for public homage. The government also announced that a memorial will be constructed in Singh's honor.
