Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024: Not Only Players, Legendary Umpire Also Set To Return To Cricket Field
LLC 2024: Billy Bowden, the former international official, known for his iconic ways of signalling during his time as an umpire at the highest level, is also make a return with the LLC.
Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024 is all set to kickstart on September 20 (Friday) with the Konark Suryas taking on the Manipal Tigers in match number 1 of the tournament. The third edition of the cash-rich league will see the return of legendary cricket stars on the field with the likes of Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Chris Gayle, Ian Bell, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu and Yusuf Pathan among other cricket stars set to feature in the T20 cricket competition.
Not only the players but even legendary umpire is also set to return on the field. Billy Bowden, the former international official, known for his iconic ways of signalling during his time as an umpire at the highest level, is also making a return with the LLC.
"Well, I'm really looking forward to being here in India. It's a great place to go, great place to umpire and coming from New Zealand which is cold, it's great to be in Jodhpur. Really excited to get underway," Bowden could be heard saying in a video shared by LLC on their official social media handle.
LLC 2024 Is Going To Be A Competitive Series
Sharing his thoughts on the Legends League Cricket (LLC) initiative, Bowden said: "Well, it's fantastic. These legends are legends for a reason and they have got the international players and they are all in great form and they are very competitive. So it's going to be a competitive series."

When the 61-year-old was quizzed about a particular player he was excited about watching live, the Kiwi said: "No, they all are going to be exciting to watch because I haven't seen them for a while. I mean you have got the Harbhajan Singh, so that's going to be interesting. For him bowling from my end, if he does, we are going to be have a bit of a chat," Bowden said.
