Kohli Teaches Gayle Some Bollywood Dance Moves As Rain Halts Play At Guyana
Virat Kohli’s former RCB teammate and Universe Boss Chris Gayle learned some desi moves from the Indian skipper with a Bollywood song going on in the background
India skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first in the first contest of the three-match rubber between India and West Indies at the Providence Stadium, on Thursday. The first one-day ended in a no result due to heavy rain in Guyana as rain continued to cause delays on regular intervals.
Windies opener Evin Lewis was batting on 40 while wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope was on 6 runs when the umpires decided to abandon the match due to wet outfield. Just 13 overs of play was possible as West Indies managed to post 54/1 in the rain-hit contest.
After a delayed toss, Windies batsmen Gayle and Lewis came out to ground but play did not start immediately as the umpires needed more time to get the ground match-ready. Meanwhile, Kohli and some other Indian players were seen shaking their legs for a while, moving to the tunes of the DJ at the venue.
The Indian skipper came up with a solo dance as he flaunted his dancing skills near the boundary rope to make situation lighter. Kohli’s former RCB teammate and Universe Boss Chris Gayle also joined him and learned soem desi moves, with a Bollywood song going on in the background. Soon after, Kedar Jadhav joined the duo in what was undoubtedly one of the most funniest moments ever in a cricket field.

After an inspection by the umpires, play resumed for a 34-over-a-side affair. Gayle and Lewis picked up steam after the long interruption but the introduction of wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav put some brakes on the West Indians batsmen as he dismissed dangerman Gayle who dragged the ball onto his stumps. Hope came in two overs later, but rains also came back to force the players to the dressing room once again. The second one-dayer will be played in Port of Spain on Sunday. India had won the T20 International series 3-0, prior to this three-match ODI contest. (With PTI Inputs)View this post on Instagram
