New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson amassed 10,000 runs in the first-class cricket on Monday. He reached this feat while playing in the ongoing County season for Yorkshire where he scored a 107-ball 51.

It was the 131st first-class match for Williamson and now he’s scored 10,039 runs at an astounding average of 48.03. Out of these 131 games, 6g have been Tests matches where he has an even better average of 50.35.

In the recent game played where he reached this amazing milestone, he failed to perform with the bat in the first innings as he scored just 18 off 50 deliveries. He came back strong in the second and slammed a half-century. However, his side lost the game to Somerset by 224 runs.

Williamson represented Yorkshire in 3 first-class and 10 Twenty20 matches. In all the three games, he scored 218 runs at 36.33, while scoring 280 runs in the shortest format at a strike rate of 148.

Now he will leave for the rest of the series as for a packed international season, including an away tour of the UAE to play Pakistan, followed by home series against Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh.

New Zealand's series against Pakistan is scheduled to begin in October which is comprised of three T20 Internationals, three one-day internationals and three Tests.
