Jadeja defies 'Dhoni Review System' to give India the most important West Indian wicket
India vs West Indies 5th ODI: Ravindra Jadeja was somehow able to convince India’s captain and vice-captain to go for a review when they both were unwilling to do so.
When you neglect MS Dhoni’s advice for DRS calls, you are inviting trouble for you and for your team. But Ravindra Jadeja doesn’t believe in a life without troubles. He literally forced the Indian captain Virat Kohli to go for a review when Dhoni had clearly dismissed the idea and guess what? He was absolutely right.
What appeared to be one of those audacious Jadeja cries to add to his wickets column at first instance, actually gave India the prized scalp of Shimron Hetmyer – the most dangerous West Indian batsman of the series - broadening India’s chances of running through the visitors in the series-deciding 5th ODI at Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday.
West Indies were in desperate need of a partnership when a Jadeja flatter delivery thudded onto Hetmyer’s back leg, who was indecisive on whether to go onto the front foot or hang back. After getting a negative response from umpire Anil Chaudhary, Jadeja as usual immediately wanted to grab Dhoni’s attention who seemed satisfied with the umpire’s decision.
Dhoni was not sure but Sir Jadeja says it's out. Jaddu supersedes Dhoni and it's hitting the stumps. A reluctant review pays off. pic.twitter.com/IXdINbkqQ7

Kohli too joined both of them in middle but Jadeja was somehow able to convince India’s captain and vice-captain to go for a review.
To be fair to Dhoni and Kohli, it did appear to be pitching outside leg from the naked eye but when replays showed three reds there was none happier than Dhoni, despite being proven wrong, which does not happen often in case of DRS calls.
That was the fourth West Indian wicket to fall and Jadeja’s second of the day. He went on to claim two more as India did not allow the West Indian middle order to settle bowling them out for 104 - their lowest total in ODIs with Jadeja returning with figures of 4 for 34.
