Jadeja, Ashwin return for Sri Lanka series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, on Monday, announced the squad for first two of three-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India, on Monday, announced the squad for first two of three-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

Spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra jadeja comeback for Test series against Sri lanka on the India soil. The spin pair was  ‘rested’ but allowed the ply their trade in county championship and ranji Trophy as India played limited-over format with young spin sensations – Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.

Test specialists Cheteshwar Puajara, Wriddhiman Saha are back in the squad and even KL Rahul has found his place in the 16-member squad in India whites.

Murali Vijay, who recovered from shoulder injury has also been included in the squad to face Asian counterparts.

Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav will lead the pace attack in the longest format of the game and Kuldeep will be third spinner, partnering Ashwin and Jadeja.
