J&K Cricket Association Accuses Parvez Rasool Of Stealing Pitch Roller, Rasool Calls It Unfortunate Incident

The dispute between the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association and Parvez Rasool has worsened considerably. Parvez Rasool has rejected all the allegations levelled against him.

The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association has made very serious allegations against former Team India cricketer Parvez Rasool.  A notice has been issued to Rasool by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association over the alleged theft of pitch rollers. Parvez Rasool responded to the allegation and termed the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association's notice as unfortunate.

The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association has given Parvez Rasool a week to return the pitch roller. The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association said, "You need to return any JKCA machines you have in your possession. You are being given a week's time to return these machines, or legal action would be taken against you."

Speaking to English newspaper Indian Express, Parvez Rasool rejected the allegations. Rasool says, "An international cricketer is being treated like a thief. I have contributed a lot to J&K cricket. How can such allegations be made? This is very unfortunate."

JKCA issues clarification:

JKCA member Anil Gupta, however, claims that a huge hue-and-cry is being made for nothing. He said, "Parvez Rasool is not the only person to receive a notice like this. Any member who has the machine of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association in his possession has been asked to return it. Parvez Rasool is making a huge deal out of it for no comprehensible reason.

Parvez Rasool hails from the Anantnag district in J&K. Parvez Rasool is the first player from Jammu and Kashmir to play in the IPL as well as for Team India. Parvez Rasool made his debut for Team India in a match against Bangladesh in 2014. In 2017, Parvez Rasool also got a chance to make his T20 cricket debut for India.
