‘Will Be Back In Chepauk’: CSK Legend MS Dhoni Confirms His Participation In IPL 2023 - WATCH

MS Dhoni played in Chennai back in 2019. After more than four years, Thala will be playing in front of his home crowd at Chepauk Stadium. 

New Delhi: Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has assured that he will don the yellow jersey in the Indian Premier League 2023 edition. The 41-year-old reached Chennai on Friday to attend a franchise event.  Chennai Super Kings took to its Twitter handle and shared pictures of Thala Dhoni.  Dhoni played in Chennai back in 2019. After more than four years, Thala will be playing in front of his home crowd at Chepauk Stadium. 

The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has already said, “The next season of men’s IPL will also go back to the home and away format with all ten teams playing their home matches at their designated venues”.

Chennai Super Kings took to its Twitter handle and shared pictures of MS Dhoni from the event. "We'll come back to Chepauk next year"- Anbuden Thala #WhistlePodu #Yellove”, CSK captioned.

They posted a video also where Dhoni declared that he will be playing the next season of IPL. He said, ‘will be back in Chepauk’. Two-time World Cup-winning skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020.

Earlier, Dhoni said, “Definitely. It's a simple reason: it will be unfair to not play in Chennai and say thank you [to the fans]. Mumbai is one place where, as a team and as an individual, I have got a lot of love and affection. But it wouldn't be nice to the CSK fans”.
