Rajasthan Royals' Batsman Rahul Tewatia Pleads For Help As Friend's Mother Suffers From Covid-19
The shortage of remedesivir drugs is no longer a secret. Rajasthan Royals' youngster Rahul Tewatia's friend's mother also is in need of the crucial medicine.
Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals layer Rahul Tewatia has pleaded on Twiter for help. His friend's mother is suffering from Covid-19 and is unable to procure the required medicines, especially remedesivir. The cricketer shared the details about this on his Twitter account. He wrote that the doctors said that his friend's mother "isn't safe" and is in urgent need of remedesivir drug, which is the common medicine used for treating the Covid-19 virus.
He wrote: "My friend’s mom needs ramdecivir urgently as the doctors have said she isn't safe.Please help"
In the post, Tewatia also posted a prescription of the IBS Ashwani Hospital in UP's Faridabad. Many people commented on the post with numbers and other details of people who might help the cricketer's friend. It has been a recurring phenomenon on Twitter of asking for help for Covid-19 related medicines.
In the past few weeks, the number of Corona cases in the country has been going up. In Delhi alone, there have been 28,395 new covid cases while all over the country, the number of active cases is 2,95,041, whereas the number of deaths due to the virus stands at 2023 in the last four hours. Experts suggest that this is the new double mutant covid-19 variant which is said to be more fatal.
Nonetheless, Rahul Tewatia is currently in Mumbai with his team Rajasthan Royals. RR will play Royal Challengers Bangalore in Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. The IPL this year is taking place under strict supervision due to the expanding Covid-19 cases.
