Windies explosive batsman Chris Gayle produced a six hitting spectacle against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 50th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) by scoring a blistering 63-ball 99 run knock at the Shiekh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday (October 30).
Gayle's 99-run knock eventually went in vain as Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ben Stokes scored a whirlwind half ton to help Rajasthan chase down 186-run target and clinch a 7-wicket win and stay afloat in the tournament.

Gayle smashed his bat in disgust but later on gave Archer a pat. Gayle was frustrated after a full ball from Jofra Archer hit the pad before crashing into the stumps. Gayle smashed his bat on the wicket but then gave Archer a pat. "It was a good knock. I thought 180 is a good total. The wicket is good, and it will get better at the night. Getting out on 99 is unfortunate, but I have been there and done that," Gayle said after getting dismissed on 99. "It was a good ball. This happens. Still enjoying it out there. Having fun. Oh, 1000 maximums? Another record. Still have to be hitting it well at the age of 41. Got to give thanks for that. To those who wanted a century, I am sorry I missed out today, but in my mind, it is a century, all right?" Gayle added.FIFTY!
