IPL 2019: MI, SRH gets into funny banter, CSK & KKR comes up with 'savage' replies
While the rest of the four franchise are yet to play their cards, it couldn’t be denied that this Twitter trail has sparked the competition ahead of the upcoming season of the cash-rich tournament
With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 auctions still a month away, the franchises seem to have entered in a virtual battlefield on social media. While the teams are coming up with a new post to shut their rivals up, the entire episode is getting interesting for the fans out there.
The scenario began after the Mumbai Indians retweeted a picture posted by Hardik Pandya in which he shared the frame with his brother Krunal and West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard. The franchise shared the snap on their wall with a caption reading, “Find a better allrounder trio. We will wait.”
Here’s the post:

Probably MI had no idea what this image will lead to but soon, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) jumped in and replied with posting a picture of Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan, writing, “The wait is over!” with a smiley.

Well, MI chose not to remain quiet and fired another ammunition from their arsenal. They posted the image of all the three IPL trophies they have won so far to hit back SRH and wrote, “The wait goes on.”

This banter had just begun while Chennai Super Kings made a surprise entry with a powerful artillery. They posted a three-picture collage of captain MS Dhoni with the caption, "Moondru Mugam #Thala #WhistlePodu".

After these franchises, who have won the title at least once, made their move, Kolkata Knight Rider joint the conversation, that too, quite statistically. Posting a collage of Sunil Narine, Jacques Kallis and Andre Russell, they even mentioned the combined stats of their three all-rounders to prove their point.
"Did someone say allrounders? 3,945 IPL runs and 221 IPL wickets in one collage!" KKR posted.
