'Indian soldiers contribution incomparable': Virat says Army an inspiration for India at WC 2019

Indian skipper Virat Kohli said that there cannot be a bigger motivation than the Indian army for team India as the army's contribution for the country is incomparable

Talking about getting motivation from the armed forces and how much it meant for the Indian skipper to win the CWC trophy for them, Kohli on Tuesday said there cannot be a bigger motivation than the Indian army for team India as their contribution for the country is incomparable. "You get motivation from a lot of sources, the point mentioned here is a very big one. I don't think there can be a bigger motivation than that. When you talk about the Indian Army, the role that they play for the country, there is no comparison with that. "If we go in with that motivation that we can do something for the Army, you will see a different level of passion coming out of us. But that also depends on a lot of other factors. Every individual has a different motivation while playing in the World Cup. "I think if everyone keeps the Indian Army in mind then we will get an extra boost from it," Virat Kohli said at the press conference in Mumbai. Ahead of team India’s departure for World Cup, head coach Ravi Shastri addressed the media and looked confident. "Kedar will come with the side and as far this tournament is concerned its an opportunity. If you look at this team and what they have done over the last 5 years, they have played wonderful cricket. Like Virat said, it's about striving for that consistency. And not playing any differently just because its a World Cup. "World Cup might be a stage but stage is to be enjoyed. Most important thing is get out there and enjoy it. And if you play to potential, that Cup might be here," head coach Ravi Shastri said.
