Here's Why India vs Pakistan Super 4 Match In Asia Cup 2023 Won't Be Abandoned

India vs Pakistan Super 4 Match: It is highly likely that rain will yet again play spoilsport during Ind vs Pak Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match on Sunday (September 10).

India vs Pakistan Super 4 Match Asia Cup 2023: In what comes as a big relief for India vs Pakistan clash fans, chairman Jay Shah-led Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced a Reserve Day for IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match, set to take place on Sunday (September 10) at Sri Lanka's R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium. As per Asian Cricket Council (ACC), a Reserve Day (September 11) will be used for IND vs PAK Super 4 Asia Cup match to continue if adverse weather conditions suspends play on Sunday (September 10). Also, ACC has advised ticket-holders to hold on to their tickets as they will remain valid for the reserve day as well.

As per ACC announcement, if rain causes IND vs PAK Super 4 match on Sunday to get called off, the match can be resumed from the point where it was halted on the very next day. 

Notably, India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match on Sunday is the only fixture in Super 4 stage of the tournament to have a Reserve Day. None of the other Super 4 matches have such an option available. ACC came up with the decision to have a Reserve Day for Ind vs Pak Super 4 match as their previous match on September 2 was washed out due to rain. 

It is highly likely that rain will yet again play spoilsport during Ind vs Pak Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match on Sunday (September 10). According to the weather forecast, there's a 90 percent chance of rain in Sri Lanka's Colombo on Sunday.

"A reserve day has been incorporated for the Super11 Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match between India vs Pakistan scheduled to take place on 10th September 2023 at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo,” a statement from the ACC read.

“If adverse weather suspends play during the India vs Pakistan game, the match will continue on 11th September 2023 from the point it was suspended. In such an eventuality, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets which will remain valid and will be utilised for the reserve day.”
