IND v NZ 1st Test: India win toss, bat first in 500th Test
India play with six batsmen, four bowlers
Kanpur: India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in the first cricket Test, which is also country's historic 500th match in the longest format.
India are going with four bowlers and six specialist batsmen including Rohit Sharma in the playing XI.
New Zealand have decided to play three spinners in their playing XI which includes Mitch Santner, Ish Sodhi and Mark Craig.
