India's T20 squad for IND vs WI T20I series: The Senior Men’s Selection Committee on Wednesday (July 5) announced a star-studded 15-member Indian squad for the upcoming INDIA vs WEST INDIES five-match T20I series, slated to be played in the Caribbean Islands and in Florida, USA. The selectors wanted to try young talent as senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have not been included in India's T20I squad for IND vs WI five-match T20I series, though they are part of ODI and Test teams.

Hardik Pandya, the star all-rounder, continues to captain the national team in the shortest format, while Sanju Samson and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi make comeback to India's T20I squad. Hard-hitting middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav has been named as Pandya's deputy. Promising talents Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma handed their maiden T20I call-ups. India's T20I team for IND vs WI T20I series is the first team to be picked under newly-appointed BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar, who was appointed in the top post on Tuesday.
