IND vs SL 1st Test: It is time for Virat Kohli's 100th Test match! The much-awaited game is here with full fanfare. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed 50% of the crowd inside the stadium for the occasion of Kohli's 100th Test. 

In a video released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Kohli said, "I honestly never thought I would play 100 Test matches. It has been a long journey. We played a lot of cricket over the course of playing those 100 Test matches".

This is the same ground - IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali - where Virat made his captaincy debut and would be itching to go out and give his best. From making Test debut in 2011 to being the only person to have scored a hundred in the Australia series in the same year, Kohli has come a long way. 

Captain Rohit Sharma wins the toss and elects to bat first in the 1st Test.

India won the toss and chose to bat on a flat Mohali pitch that is destined to turn as the match progresses. Mayank Agarwal, Shreyas Iyer, and Hanuma Vihari have all been included in the side in the absence of senior players like Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara.
