IND vs SA: No Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli In India's White-Ball Squads, KL Rahul To Lead In ODIs

IND vs SA: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India squads for the tour of South Africa. While India are set to play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs when they take on the Proteas in December-January, the white-ball series will be followed by two Test matches. With Hardik Pandya sidelined due to an injury, Suryakumar Yadav continues to be India's captain in T20Is. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma returns as the captain in the two Test matches.
Rohit's last apperanace in a T20I fixture came in November 2022 in the T20 World Cup semifinal against England where India lost by 10 wickets and crashed out of the tournament in Australia. Meanwhile, in Rohit's absence, KL Rahul will lead the Men in Blue in ODI series with both Virat Kohli and Rohit requesting for a break from the white-ball series which indicates that the two senior batters might not be keen on playing the T20 World Cup next year in USA and West Indies, with India set to play only a handful of T20Is before the biennoial competition in June 2024. Both of them, however, will feature in the Test matches. In another massive news coming in Suryakumar Yadav has failed to find a place in the ODI side.
