Sonakshi Sinha, Karishma Tanna cheer for India in Melbourne: Day 1 of India vs Australia Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) drew a packed crowd, with cricket fans from all over filling the stands.  Among the crowd, Bollywood divas Sonakshi Sinha and Karishma Tanna were spotted at the venue, accompanied by their husbands, Zaheer Iqbal and Varun Bangera. 

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, newlyweds from earlier this year, are making the most of their time in Australia, enjoying a memorable holiday.

India on backfoot in IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test

At stumps on Day 1 of IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, Australia posted a formidable 311/6 in their first innings. Steve Smith remained unbeaten on 68, with skipper Pat Cummins providing support at the other end with 8 not out. Smith played a crucial role in steadying Australia's innings alongside Cummins as Australia capitalized on a solid start.

Making his debut, 19-year-old opener Sam Konstas impressed with quickfire 60 off 65 balls, setting the tone for Australia's innings. Usman Khawaja contributed a steady 57, while Marnus Labuschagne top-scored with 72. Alex Carey added 31 before his dismissal. Despite some breakthroughs by Indian bowlers, Australia's strong batting display left them in control at the end of the opening day.

ICC penalizes Virat Kohli with Match Fee deduction

Former India captain Virat Kohli was fined 20 percent of his match fee and found guilty of a Level 1 offense for a physical altercation with Australian opener Sam Konstas on day 1 IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test. Kohli accepted his mistake, thereby avoiding the need for a formal hearing.

The incident occurred during the break between the 10th and 11th overs of Australia's innings. As Sam Konstas and Usman Khawaja were switching ends, Kohli approached Konstas and nudged him on the shoulder. Ricky Ponting, who was commentating at the time, slammed Kohli for his 'intentional actions'.
