Rohit Sharma returned to the Indian Test side after a long gap of 11 months for the first match against Australia at the Adelaide Oval. He came in to bat at number six after the top-order went through a terrible collapsed. Continuing his sublime form, he smashed 3 massive sixes in order to repair the damage.
He could have capitalised the opportunity he bagged but, he threw away his wicket off Nathan Lyon’s delivery by playing an outrageous shot to bring an end to his knock of 37 off 61 in the 38th over.

The 31-year-old has now hit the most number of sixes in this calendar year. He has surpassed some of the renowned big-hitters including Chris Gayle, Shame Watson and AB de Villiers.

Rohit hit the first six in the 26th over to Pat Cummins off a pacy bouncer into the deep square stands. The second one he hit again to Cummins in the 34th over which was a lofted front foot drive over deep cover. The third and last maximum he smashed off Nathan Lyon’s delivery at the deep square leg.
