Virat Kohli Paid 660000000 In Taxes In 2023-24. No Rohit Sharma In 6 Cricketers That Feature In Highest Taxpaying List

No prizes for guessing. It's Virat Kohli who is the highest tax-paying sportsperson in India.

There are no brownie points for the taking but Indian cricket star Virat Kohli happens to be the highest tax-paying sportsperson in India, as most would have guessed without a fuss. It's a 9-digit number that Kohli has paid in taxes in the financial year which ended in March 2024 as per Fortune India list. 660000000- that's how much Kohli paid in taxes this year.

Struggling to do the math? It's 66 crore that Kohli has paid as taxes as he features fifth on the celebrity taxpayers list and first among sportspersons in India, a number which nearly double than that of MS Dhoni who paid Rs 38 crore in taxes. Sachin Tendulkar paid Rs 28 crore in taxes, 11 years after his international retirement while Sourav Ganguly also features in the list, having paid Rs 23 crore as taxes in the year. All-rounder Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant also featured in the list, paying Rs 13 crore and Rs 10 crore respectively in this list.
