On the cricketing front, Hardik Pandya is currently part of the Indian team touring Sri Lanka for a white-ball series, featuring three T20Is and three ODIs. There was speculation that Hardik Pandya, India's vice-captain for the T20 World Cup 2024, would take over as captain in the shortest format following Rohit Sharma's retirement from T20Is. However, the team management had different plans and appointed Suryakumar Yadav as the T20I captain for the series against Sri Lanka, with Gautam Gambhir as head coach.

"After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe this is in the best interest for the both of us. This was a tough decision for us to make, given the joy, mutual respect and companionship we enjoyed together and as we grew a family," Hardik said in the joint-statement regarding his separation with Natasa.
