England Set To Release Two Players For West Indies Limited-Overs Tour Amid PAK vs ENG Series-Decider In Rawalpindi
As England are in action for the series-deciding Test in Rawalpindi against Pakistan, two players have been released from the squad for their upcoming limited-overs tour to West Indies.
England men's team will release two players from their Test squad for the ongoing series against Pakistan—wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox and spinner Rehan Ahmed—for their upcoming tour of the West Indies. Cox is set to depart for England on October 24 (Thursday), while Rehan Ahmed will join the England ODI squad after the conclusion of the third Pakistan vs England Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
England will play the first match of their tour to West Indies on October 31 (Thursday) as both teams will clash for the first ODI of the three-match series in Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.

Jordan Cox will return to the UK after the first day's play of the Rawalpindi Test to join England's white-ball squad for their Caribbean tour, while Rehan Ahmed, who is part of the playing 11 for the third Test, will join the squad later, likely missing the first ODI. Notably, this is a rare occurrence in English cricket, as typically separate teams are fielded for different formats. There have been instances where two distinct England squads have played simultaneously in different parts of the world, each competing in a different format.
England and West Indies are set to play three ODIs until November 6, followed by five T20Is from November 10 to 18 across Antigua, Barbados, and St. Lucia.
