England crush Pakistan on last day to win 3rd Test, lead series 2-1
England win by 141 runs
BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan's second innings crumbled to 201 all out as England won the third test by 141 runs on Sunday to lead the four-match series 2-1.
Steven Finn and Chris Woakes destroyed Pakistan's middle order on the last day at Edgbaston with four wickets between them for just one run. The last-wicket pair of Rahat Ali and Sohail Khan put on 50 to delay the inevitable.
England earlier declared at 445-6 and set Pakistan a target of 343 runs to win in a maximum 84 overs on a friendly batting wicket.
But all four England seamers exposed Pakistan's tendency to poke at deliveries outside the off stump with only 20-year-old opener Sami Aslam (70) showing resilience at the top.
The final test starts at the Oval on Thursday.
