I have known him a long time and his vast knowledge and experience at international level will drive our bowling unit forward leading into the two-match Test series. The 49-year-old represented England across all three formats for 12 years, which saw him take 229 wickets in 58 Tests at an average of 28.39. In ODIs, he is England's second highest wicket-taker in history with 234 at an average of 26.42 from his 159 matches. Since his retirement from the game in 2008, Gough has become a respected radio broadcaster on the UK sports station TalkSport.
