Eng vs Pak 1st Test, Day 2: Pacers Put Pakistan On Top; England Reach 92/4 At Stumps, Trail By 234 Runs
The much-talked-about Pakistani bowling attack lived up to their expectations as they manage to bag some early wickets in the final session.
Pakistan cricket team's bowling attack jolted England to restrict them to 92/4 after 28 overs at Stumps on Day 2 of the first Test being played at the Old Trafford on Thursday.
Mohammad Abbas and Shahin Afridi were on fire today as they took three wickets inside just first six overs. Ollie Pope showed some fightback to remain unbeaten 46* and will be looking to score a half-century in tomorrow's morning session.
After deciding to bat first, Pakistan cricket team got all out for 326. Star opener Shan Masood's career-best 156 and a fluent 59 from Babar Azam rescued the visitors and pushed them past the 300-run mark, who at one point in the game had lost complete grip over the day's play.

The pumped-up Pakistani's delivered another two blows to the hosts in the form of Dom Sibley and national hero Ben Stokes. Mohammad Abbas first trapped Sibley (8) leg-before and later got rid of Stokes for a duck by nailing his top off stumps.

After losing three quick wickets inside first six overs, England were now reeling at 12/3 with Pakistan in the commanding position. Ollie Pope was the next man to the crease with skipper Joe Root as his partner batting at the other end.
Just when it seemed that the English duo would finally have a breather, 17-year-old Naseem Shah bowled with great pace -- almost touching the 90 mph -- that denied Root and Pope score some easy runs.
Taking advantage of all the momentum, spinner Yasir Shah finally got rid of skipper Joe Root for 14 to break the 50-run stand that looked to steady England's sinking ship.
Jos Buttler was the next man in with England at 62/4. At Stumps, Ollie Pope remained unbeaten 46*.
