'Lost A True Ratan Of Bharat': Cricket Community Mourns Ratan Tata's Passing

Ratan Tata passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday night, and the cricket community expressed its condolences on the passing of one of the world's most recognized industrialists.

Ratan Tata Passes Away: Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons and a Padma Vibhushan awardee, passed away at the age of 86 on the night of October 9 (Wednesday). Tata was admitted in a Mumbai hospital for the past few days and was in intensive care undergoing treatment. Tributes poured in from all walks of life, as prominent figures shared condolences and reflected on the legacy of Tata, who played a major role in taking Tata Group to global heights.

The cricket community also paid tribute to the veteran industrialist, with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Virender Sehwag, Robin Uthappa, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings and many others expressed their condolences on social media.

“We have lost a true Ratan of Bharat, Shri Ratan Tata ji. His life will be an inspiration for us all and he will continue to live in our hearts. Om Shanti,” wrote the former India cricketer Virender Sehwag.
