County Championship: Ashwin Bags Fourth 5-Wicket Haul, Scores Fifty For Nottinghamshire

Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin continued his stellar form with the red cherry as he claimed a match haul of nine wickets for Nottinghamshire in an ongoing County Championship match against Kent. Ashwin picked up five-for in the second innings and added to his rich haul of four wickets in the first essay.
Ashwin, who has been in blazing form with the ball in the ongoing County season, has accounted for 32 wickets in just four games. This was his fourth five-wicket haul in seven innings for the Trentbridge side -- figures further embossed by one 10-wicket match haul against Surrey.
Besides his heroics with the ball, Ashwin even scored a half century from 77 balls but couldn't prevent Notts from slumping to defeat. Ashwin, who has been India's leading spinner for the last five seasons was surprisingly left out of the playing XI against the West Indies. The spinner find a place in India's Test squad for the upcoming series against South Africa. Meanwhile, Murali Vijay had a forgettable debut for Somerset.
