New Delhi: Hard-hitting Australian batsman Chris Lynn has signed 5-year million dollar deal with Big Bash League franchise Brisbane Heats and the contract will run till 2022.

Lynn, who is considered as one of the most destructive batsmen of T20 format, has been a part of the Heats since 2011 and decided to continue with the same franchise in a deal which is reported to be around 1 million dollars.

The 27-year-old is currently recovering from shoulder injury which he sustained during his short stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders in April this year. He underwent a surgery in July and he is expected to comeback before the beginning of upcoming edition of the Big Bash League.

"I've had some good reports from the surgeon and the Queensland Cricket medical staff and we're working to the recovery plan. It is feeling okay now, although there is still a way to go," he said.

Lynn is also looking forward to resuming his partnership with Brendon McCullum.

He has also been named as the Man of the Tournament for last two BBL seasons.
