BCCI Secretary Jay Shah Announces Prize Money For Player Of The Match & Tournament Players In Women’s Domestic Cricket
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that Player of the Match And Tournament in Women's domestic cricket will be rewarded with cash prizes.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on August 26 (Monday) that the board will now reward cash prizes for all the Player of the Match (PotM) and the Player of the Tournaments (PoT) of women's and junior cricket tournaments. This comes as a great boost for the Indian domestic cricket circuit. BCCI secretary Jay Shah also announced the PoT and PotM in men's cricket in Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali tournaments will also be rewarded with cash prizes.
This move by the BCCI underlines their commitment towards strengthening India's domestic cricket circuit. This initiative will not only give a stage to India’s rising talent but also motivate those in the waiting to continue striving hard and keep performing at the domestic level.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah took to his official social media handle of X (formerly Twitter) and announced this development.
“We are introducing prize money for the Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament in all Women’s and Junior Cricket tournaments under our Domestic Cricket Programme. Additionally, prize money will be awarded for the Player of the Match in the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali tournaments for Senior Men,” Jay Shah wrote in the post.

Shah noted that this initiative aims at recognising and rewarding the outstanding performers at the domestic level.
