No Cricket With Men's Team If Taliban Doesn't Allow Afghanistan Women's Team To Play: Cricket Australia
Australia vs Afghanistan: Cricket Australia has decided to not go ahead with the men's matches if the Taliban doesn't allow the women's cricket team to play.
Cricket Australia has taken a bold step today and straight away declared that if there's no room given for women's cricket in Afghanisthan then they will not allow the Men's team of Afghanistan to travel and play in Hobart. This statement from Cricket Australia came following the reports were published in the media that the women's cricket team will be banned from playing cricket under the new Taliban government. The media reports were substantiated with interviews of several Taliban leaders where one of them even said women's sport was considered "inappropriate and unnecessary".

Cricket Australia this morning came out with a statement that says, "Driving the growth of women’s cricket globally is incredibly important to Cricket Australia. Our vision for cricket is that it is a sport for all and we support the game unequivocally for women at every level.
If recent media reports that women’s cricket will not be supported in Afghanistan are substantiated, Cricket Australia would have no alternative but to not host Afghanistan for the proposed Test Match due to be played in Hobart. We thank the Australian and Tasmanian Governments for their support on this important issue."

The Australian Cricketers Association has also supported this move from Cricket Australia and as a result, the Test match in Hobart which is slated to start from November 27 is under cloud now .
