AUS vs NED HIGHLIGHTS, World Cup 2023: Australia registered the largest victory in World Cup history as they beat the Dutch by 309 runs.

Australia beat Netherlands by 309 runs to claim the largest-ever win in World Cup history. While Australia won the toss and elected to bat first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, they posted 399/8 in their 50 overs propelled by Glenn Maxwell and David Warner's tons. Maxwell broke the record of the fastest World Cup ton reaching the three-figure mark in 40 balls to overshadow even Warner's hundred who scored 104 off 93 balls. Australia were clinical with the ball in hand as well, bowling out the Dutch for 90 in 21 overs to complete a mauling of their opposition.

Other than Warner and Maxwell's tons that were the takeaways of the match especially Maxwell's the manner in which he came into bat after 39 overs and completed a hundred, Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne also scored half-centuries. While Smith made 71 off 68, Labuschagne scored 62 off 47. Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as he returned with unbelievable figures of 4 for 8. Mitchell Marsh also scalped 2 wickets for 19 runs. Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc picked up a wicket each.

The Dutch had a forgettable outing on the cricket field with Bas de Leede recording the most expensive spell in an ODI innings, going for 115 runs in his 10 overs while also scalping 2 wickets. Logan van Beek was Netherlands' most successful bowler, taking 4 wickets for 74 runs while Aryan Dutt who finished with 1 for 59 off his seven overs was the only other wicket-taker for the Men in Orange. The result means Australia continue to be in the top four of the points table with six points from five matches and a net run rate of +1.142. On the other hand, the Dutch are at the bottom of the table with 2 points from 5 matches with a net run rate of -1.902.
