Kohli sends his best wishes to Team India before game against HK
If India win today’s game, they will qualify for the knockout stage
Indian cricket team is about to begin their Asia Cup journey today against Hong Kong at the Dubai International cricket stadium. Since regular skipper Virat Kohli has been rested for the tournament, Rohit Sharma will be stepping in his shoes to lead the men-in-blue in the Asian cricket tournament.
Ahead of Indian’s opening match, Virat has sent his best wishes to the Indian squad. He took to his official social media handle and posted a motivational message for his teammates.
Here’s the post:
Here’s wishing Team India a super series at the Asia Cup. #Meninblue #AsiaCup2018 @BCCI
— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) September 18, 2018
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to rest Kohli so as to manage his workload, keeping the forthcoming series in mind. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, who recently led India to victory in the Nidahas Trophy, has taken the responsibility to come out with flying colours.
If India win today’s game, they will qualify for the knockout stage. Anshuman Rath led Hong Kong have already lost their opening game to Pakistan and if they lose today as well, they will become the second team after Sri Lanka to get ousted from Asia Cup.
