Ashes: Flying Jos Buttler At Full Stretch Is Surely A Contender For Catch Of Season - Watch Video
Ashes 2021-22: Buttler had to do an adjustment of his feet before jumping down the leg side to hold on to one of the best catches of the season. Take a look at this flying catch by Jos Buttler.
England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler took a stunning catch to dismiss Marcus Harris of Australia in the first session on Day 1 of the Adelaide Test match. After a slowish start at the Oval, Stuart Broad bowled a quick short-ball aimed at Harris' ribs, to which he glanced the ball down the leg side. The ball was in the air but it was traveling quickly. Buttler had to do an adjustment of his feet before jumping down the leg side to hold on to one of the best catches of the season.
Stuart Broad was extremely delighted to pick up the first wicket of the match and the series. Marcus Harris went back after scoring 3 runs in 28 balls.

The commentators rightly described the English wicketkeeper as 'Superman' for taking this catch. This catch surely can be nominated as the catch of the season. As a wicketkeeper, credit must be given to Buttler to presume that the ball would go down the leg and then commit 100% to reach out to the fast-traveling ball by Stuart Broad.
Earlier today, Australian captain Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the second Test match between Australia and England that is set to be played on Thursday. Cricket Australia announced this decision "after it emerged that he came into contact with a positive COVID-19 case on Wednesday evening."
