Ahmedabad Flight Ticket Costs Surge By 415% For India vs Pakistan World Cup Clash: Report
IND vs PAK World Cup Showdown Craze: Ahmedabad flight prices have witnessed an astounding 104 to 415 per cent higher than the usual.
India vs Pakistan men's cricket rivalry is easily one of the most looked forward to sporting fixtures around the world. The tensed political relationship between the two countries adds to the drama and with no bilateral cricket happening between the two teams, fans eagerly look forward to their clash at the multinational events. Nothing gets bigger than India vs Pakistan at the World Cup. And now when the host country is a cricket crazy nation like India which will back its boys like anything when they take on the arch-rivals in Ahmedabad on October 14, frenzied things are always on the cards.
With just about three weeks to go for the high-voltage encounter, it is being reported that prices for a flight to Ahmedabad have witnessed an astounding 104 to 415 per cent higher than the usual. While the original ticket prices to Ahmedabad from any part of the country ranges between 5,500 - 12,000 sometimes even for a roundtrip, prices now are nowhere close to this figure. The same has been learnt in a report carried by Economic Times.

The same report also claims that even though Ahmedabad will host several high-profile fixtures during the course of this tournament including the tournament opener between England and New Zealand as well as the final, the surge in prices for flight tickets is only for the IND vs PAK encounter and not for the other matches.
The two teams recently met in Asia Cup 2023. While their Group stage match was abandoned due to rain, in their Super Four encounter at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, India thrashed Pakistan by 228 runs. The match lasted two days with a Reserve Day being used for the fixture. Pakistan will now travel to India and will have to find a way to put that defeat out of their mind even though it won't be easy without their pacer Naseem Shah and at a packed stadium in which majority of the fans are set to support the home team.
