'Admirable How Seniors Are Rested, Not Dropped': Twitter Reacts As India Leave Out Key Players
IND Vs NZ 2nd Test: After Rahane, Jadeja & Ishant got dropped due to 'injury', Netizens speculated that there was something more to the story. Check out below.
India vs New Zealand Mumbai Test started after a delayed toss due to a damp outfield owing to the rain that was seen in Mumbai over the past couple of days. Another news put cricket fans in disarray, it was about Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja. The three cricketers were dropped ahead of the start of the match due to minor injuries.
Ishant Sharma dislocated his left little finger, Ajinkya Rahane sustained a minor left hamstring strain, while Ravindra Jadeja suffered a right forearm injury. Looking at the nature of the injuries sustained by the three players, it is safe to say that these players are not critically ill.
Twitter fans were speculating if the three players had serious injuries or were they respectfully rested so that others could be given space in the side. Cricket critic Aakash Chopra without mentioning anything just wrote "it is just convenient".
Journalist GS Vivek took a dig saying: "#TeamIndia medical has a beautiful talent of finding injuries at the right time. Hence #Rahane, #Ishant #Jadeja are proved injured and playing XI now is a no brainer."
"It is admirable though how seniors are rested, and not dropped.," he added.
Here are other reactions from fans:

Ishant: They wanted to play Siraj
Jadeja: They wanted 3 pacers and Axar was the better bowler.
Rahane: Well well well
Even VVS saying Rahane isn't dropped for injury reasons . Lmao
