In the IPL 2025 clash between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday (April 13), SRH registered a dominant 8-wicket win, led by a sensational innings from Abhishek Sharma.

The young opener stole the show with a breathtaking 141 off just 60 balls, smashing 14 fours and 10 sixes. Travis Head supported him brilliantly with a 37-ball 66. Despite wickets from Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh, Punjab Kings were outclassed.

Third-Fastest Fifty for SRH: Abhishek reached his half-century in just 19 balls - SRH's third-fastest ever. Interestingly, he also holds the franchise's fastest fifty, which came off just 16 balls against Mumbai in IPL 2024.

Joint-Second Most Fifties in Under 20 Balls: Abhishek now shares the second spot in the IPL for most fifties scored in fewer than 20 balls. Only Nicholas Pooran (4) is ahead of him, while Travis Head and Jake Fraser-McGurk also have three each.

Fifth-Fastest IPL Century: He brought up his hundred in just 40 deliveries - the fifth-fastest in league history. Chris Gayle leads the chart with a 30-ball ton.

Highest Individual Score for SRH: His 141-run knock is now the highest individual score ever recorded by a Sunrisers Hyderabad batter.

Abhishek Sharma, Player of the Match, said after the game: "It's not easy for any player to go through that form. Special mention to the team and captain, very simple message to the batters although I was not doing well. Had a talk with Travis and it was a special day for both of us. I never play anything behind the wicket, I was trying a few shots because I wanted to invent a few shots because of the size and the bounce on this wicket. The whole team is waiting for my parents. They are very lucky for the team and Orange Army."
