New Delhi: Sri Lanka are currently battling Bangladesh in Group-1 in the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup match being played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka decided to bowl first after winning the toss.
Some good batting performances helped Bangladesh post more than a competitive total of 171 runs for loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. For Bangladesh, opener Mohammad Naeem (62) and Mushfiqur Rahim (unbeaten 57 off 37 balls) emerged as star performers. For Sri Lanka, Binura Fernando, Lahiru Kumara and Chamika Karunaratne picked one wicket each.
Meanwhile, the altercation took place in the 6th over of Bangladesh's innings when Liton Das mistimed an almost fuller length delivery from Kumara, ending up giving an easy catch to Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shakana. The banter started when Kumara, immediately after dismissing the Bangladeshi wicket-keeper batsman, headed towards him where the duo were seen exchanging a few words.

"That is not what you want to see in a game of cricket," commentators said on the broadcasting channel Star Sports.
"We are going to bowl first. Our bowlers are doing a good job for us. After the IPL, the wicket is up-and-down, can't guess what it is, that's why we want to bowl," Sri Lanka captain Shanaka said at the toss.
"The environment has been really good, we are in a very good mood. The youngsters are doing a good job and they are very confident as well. We have an injury concern. Maheesh Theekshana is out. Binura Fernando comes back in," he added.
