Bhairav And Hanuman Worship To Calm Saturn’s Influence

Devotees often light oil lamps in Shani temples, but it is also considered highly effective to light a lamp in a Bhairav temple on this night. Worshipping Bhairav is believed to pacify Lord Shani’s wrath. As the day falls on a Tuesday, a day dedicated to Lord Hanuman, devotees are advised to light a jasmine oil lamp in front of Hanuman and recite the Sundarkand. This ritual is said to remove Shani dosha and protect from Saturn’s negative impact.

Relief From Sade Sati: Remedies For Difficult Times

For those suffering from Sade Sati, lighting a mustard oil lamp under a Peepal tree on the night of Shani Jayanti and reciting the Shani Stotra is believed to ease mental and financial stress. This ancient practice helps in reducing the burden of Saturn’s intense phase.

Deepdaan And Household Rituals For Blessings

As Shani Jayanti falls on Jyeshtha Amavasya, performing Deepdaan in rivers, ponds, or lakes is considered especially meritorious. It is believed to please one’s ancestors and bring blessings to the family. Lighting a ghee lamp at the main entrance of the house invites Goddess Lakshmi, while placing a lamp in the northeast corner (Ishan Kon) of the home’s temple brings peace, prosperity, and divine grace into the household.
