Why Is Akshaya Tritiya Considered Auspicious For Marriage?

According to scriptures, getting married on Akshaya Tritiya is believed to be a blessing for a lifelong union. That’s why this day holds special significance among all marriage muhurats. Couples who marry on this day are said to enjoy a happy and harmonious life, with lasting love and understanding between husband and wife. This belief is rooted in the fact that on Akshaya Tritiya, both the Sun and the Moon are at their brightest and most powerful phase.

Couples who are unable to find a suitable wedding muhurat throughout the year can marry on Akshaya Tritiya without consulting a detailed Panchang or seeking a specific muhurat. The day is considered an Abujh Muhurat, which means it is so auspicious that no specific time or calculation is required for performing sacred rituals like marriage.
